About the course

Hi my lovely creative makers, As we all love out furry, feathery or scaly friends I decided to make this next course a pet drawing course. In this course you will learn the skills to create a portrait of your best pet friend in alcohol marker and colour pencil. And did you know a pet portrait makes a beautiful gift as well? we are practicing this by following my step by step approach and you will learn how to set up a sketch, how to create a base layer in marker and then how to add details in colour pencils. we will go through two drawings in detail together and there are bonus video's for you to watch where you can see how I use the same steps to create other pet portraits. in this course we are letting go of perfectionism and we are adopting a loose art style. we are looking to portray the characters of our furry friends first and foremost. at the end of the course you will have learned the skills to draw your own pet from your own reference photo's. The materials that we will be using for this course are: -Drawing paper -alcohol markers -colour pencils -a sketch pencil and eraser. Alcohol markers are different from felt-tips as they are alcohol based and the colours can be layered and blended smoothly. as always feel free to join in with other materials if you prefer.
